Are you ready to experience reality in a whole new way? That’s what BeReal aims to do; what is Bereal? BeReal is fresh air in a world of routine feeds and business relationships.
As its name indicates, this soon-to-be-released social networking site prioritizes authenticity. This app’s user experience and interface are revolutionary in social media.
It was founded in 2020 by French – Kevin Perreau and Alexis Barreyat, and in May of this year, it was estimated to be worth $600m (£499m).
BeReal came out at the end of 2019, but its popularity skyrocketed around mid-2022. About 29.5 million people have downloaded it, making it the most popular social networking app on the App Store.
What Is BeReal?
BeReal is a photo-sharing app where you may share your real life without filters. The app’s main goal is to keep users feeling unforced and genuine. You’re prompted to post unfiltered, simple posts.
How does Bereal work
Getting started with BeReal is easy; follow these steps.

#2. When ready, enter your username and password to access your new account. The application can help you connect with others by syncing your contact list.
#3. After signing up for a new account, be prepared to quickly snap a selfie. Follow the BeReal notification provided and snap your first photo without any filters.
#4. Your photo can remain private or seen by everyone. A caption can be added to the photo at the time of sharing.

Get BeReal Notification to Post
You are not alone if you haven’t received a BeReal notification of a post in quite some time. BeReal is looking into why some users aren’t getting their BeReal notifications.
Meanwhile, you may be able to fix this on your own and go back to posting your BeReal at the appropriate time.
This will not destroy your BeReal from the day or your app’s data. It’s similar to removing cookies on your desktop browser.
It won’t solve the problem entirely, but it’s an excellent place to start before attempting more drastic measures.
- Make sure your BeReal cache has been cleared
- Delete the app and re-download it.
When you use the app and allow Bereal notification, you may be prompted to take a BeReal as part of the onboarding process; however, this will not replace any previous BeReals.
Your daily BeReal notification should start working once you have re-downloaded the app and updated your notification settings.
How does BeReal make money?
Because BeReal does not (yet) display advertisements, provide subscriptions, or make money from selling in-app upgrades, the app is primarily funded by investors. As the number of people who use BeReal continues to increase, this might change soon.
Is there an alternative to BeReal?
The Bereal app got traction due to its seeming originality, but other social networking systems have already adopted its ideas. Instagram announced the Instagram Candid Challenge prototype in August 2022.
The two-minute warning and all other process aspects are identical to BeReal. The ‘BeReal thing’ can now be achieved in Snaps, Stories, and Spotlight movies with the launch of Snapchat’s new dual camera feature.
There are some real worries. The BeReal app does have the potential to be more genuine and less time-consuming than scrolling. Despite the two-minute limit, people may still edit photos before sharing them.
Scrolling through both the private and public feeds may be addictive. Considering how many people will be using the app might lead to wasted time. The application has the same potential for improper use as other social networking apps, despite its good intentions.
